YouTube TV & Disney Reach New Carriage Agreement

Alphabet’s YouTube TV (GOOG, GOOGL) has finalized a new agreement with Disney, restoring ESPN, ABC, and all Disney-owned channels after nearly two weeks of blackout. The outage affected more than 10 million YouTube TV subscribers.

ESPN ‘Unlimited’ Added Free to YouTube TV

A key part of the new deal is the addition of ESPN’s upcoming direct-to-consumer “Unlimited” service to YouTube TV’s base plan at no extra cost.

This is especially significant for WWE fans, as major WWE events — including WrestleMania — will stream on ESPN Unlimited.
The service will be accessible directly inside the YouTube TV platform.
Full rollout completes by the end of 2026.

Pricing & Channel Availability

YouTube TV subscribers currently pay just over $80/month for the base plan.
All of Disney’s channels will continue on the platform, including:

ABC
ESPN networks
FX and more

Subscribers will see channels and previously recorded content return throughout the day.

Company Statements

YouTube TV said the agreement “preserves the value of our service for subscribers” and thanked users for their patience during the blackout.

Disney executives Alan Bergman, Dana Walden, and ESPN chairman Jimmy Pitaro said the deal reflects their “commitment to delivering exceptional entertainment” while adapting to changing viewer habits.

Impact of the Outage

Since October 30, YouTube TV customers missed:

Two weekends of college football
Multiple nights of Monday Night Football
ESPN’s full sports programming slate

The restoration comes just in time for a heavy sports weekend.
