Thiel and SoftBank Both Unload Nvidia

Two high-profile investors — Peter Thiel and Masayoshi Son’s SoftBank — have now sold their stakes in Nvidia (NVDA), the world’s most valuable publicly traded company.

A recent 13F filing shows that Thiel Macro fully exited its Nvidia position at the end of Q3. The hedge fund first bought Nvidia stock in Q4 2024, and the position had grown to its second-largest holding, behind only Tesla (TSLA).

SoftBank Also Sells Nvidia

SoftBank disclosed last week that it divested its Nvidia stake in October.
The sale comes as SoftBank plans to raise capital to increase its equity position in OpenAI, according to CFO Yoshimitsu Goto, who emphasized the move was “nothing to do with Nvidia itself.”
