FMC Shares Tumble on Dividend Cut

FMC Corporation’s stock fell 29% after the agricultural chemical maker announced a sharp dividend reduction and lowered its outlook for upcoming quarters.

The company cut its quarterly dividend to $0.08 per share from $0.58, a steep 86% decrease.
FMC also reduced its earnings and revenue guidance for both the fourth quarter and full fiscal year, citing weaker crop protection demand and pricing pressure in key markets.

Despite the negative outlook, FMC’s third-quarter adjusted EPS came in at $0.89, slightly above expectations of $0.85 per share (FactSet).
