Brookfield Launches $100 Billion AI Infrastructure Fund

Brookfield announced a new Artificial Intelligence Infrastructure Fund (BAIIF) aimed at investing up to $100 billion across the full AI infrastructure value chain — including energy, land, data centers, and compute systems.

The fund seeks to raise $10 billion in equity and has already secured $5 billion in commitments from Brookfield, Nvidia, and the Kuwait Investment Authority, the nation’s sovereign wealth fund.

BAIIF will prioritize projects supported by strong credit quality and contracted cash flows. The infrastructure strategy spans four core pillars:

Circularity in the Partnership

Similar to Nvidia’s recent partnership with Anthropic and Microsoft, this deal carries a circular investment dynamic:
Nvidia invests in a fund that will deploy capital into projects requiring Nvidia GPUs — reinforcing demand for its own hardware.

Example of Early Projects

Brookfield highlighted its $5 billion agreement with Bloom Energy, which makes Bloom the preferred onsite power provider for Brookfield’s global AI factories, as a model investment opportunity aligned with BAIIF.
